Jump in the car and take a short spin over the bridge and out the Sligo road. You’ll soon see the sign for Lough Key Forest Park, the 19th century parkland with majestic trees, numerous walks and trails through the native woodlands and diverse habitats, home to many species of wildlife.A number of historical and archaeological points of interest can be found throughout the Park including Ringforts, Fishing Pavilion, Fairy Bridge, Wishing Chair, Ice-House, Bog Garden, Stables and Estate Chapel.A visitor centre, with a lakeside café, is the starting point to a number of unique activities for all the family, including a Tree Canopy Walk, Boda Borg and Adventure Play Kingdom. Lough Key Forest Park is also home to Zipit, Woodland Segways and Lough Key Boat Tours. Bring you bikes, or just some walking shoes and enjoy hours as you explore.
